Durango campground?

We stay at Blue Spruce RV Park near Lake Vallecito that is about 25 miles east of Durango. Good fishing in the lake and one other RV Park is on the Pine River that is also good fishing. Enjoy the area!

A couple of years ago we stayed at Westerly RV Park while in the Durango area. We really enjoyed our stay however it's not on the Animas. :( Nice, quiet, (small) campground.

I went ahead and booked a riverfront site at the KOA. I'll contact them May 1 when they open for the season to confirm that we'll fit. According to the fly shop in Durango, the river north of town is all private so staying at a riverfront park will be nice.
Busskipper, Priest Gulch looks really nice. Maybe next year.

Hard to make a wrong choice in the SouthWest Corner of Colorado:) - Just Soooooo much to see and Do never enough Time...........

If you are really into Wild and Beautiful might look into a little time in Lake City - Lake City, CO

We stayed in site 14 or 15 bout 4-5 years back. 35' 5th wheel with F350 crew cab. Fit fine, little tight with truck but ok. Limbs on trees were close but no issue with them. Kept our back window curtain open for 5 days and nights. The sunrises were great. The moon shining on the river mesmerized. I don't fish but the river looked good for that purpose.
You should enjoy it there.

Priest Gulch is a really nice campground but is not close to Durango.Is a lay back camp with a magnificent view,on the river .
