Durango, CO or Maggie Valley NC?
Looking to get out of the Texas heat and humidity for a week or two in early August. Any ideas as to whether Durango or Maggie Valley might be best? Restaurants, things to do, etc.

I have never been to Durango but I have been to Maggie Valley many times. I would choose Durango. You could very well have high humidity in Maggie Valley in the summer even though the heat may not be as bad as it can be in Texas.
