I see this in our area. I think it really depends on the location and local attractions. If you are talking about a very popular area that most of the sites are filled through the week, allowing early or late arrivals/departures would be difficult. If you are talking about what is essentially a weekend campground, shouldn't be a problem. One of our favorite campgrounds is over 30 minutes from the nearest tourist attraction and an hour from any large amusement parks. Other than the permanent/seasonal campers they are lucky if the have two sites a week that stay all week. If you get there before 3 on a Friday it is empty. Same thing after lunch on Sunday.
