Having been to LI in every type of Vehicle, just too many times, it is the one place I will likely never re-visit - A one hour drive - 25 miles can often take 3-4 hours, just too many cars and almost always too much traffic/accidents - TRAIN - Or AIR is the Only way in or OUT.
Just give me something easy like 550 in Colorado - LI - makes you yearn for the Mountains.
