Electric service at Waco Airport Park (Corps of Engineers)

The information on the 'Net indicates they have 50 amp electricity at the sites. Does anyone know if they also have 30 amp receptacles on the pole? My rig is 30 amp.

Perhaps someone can answer this who hasn't necessarily been to the Waco Airport site, maybe this is something common to Corps of Engineers sites in general.

Even if the sites were 50 amp only the only real negative is that we could not run the air conditioner or a fan. Then again in a Texas summer that might be a big issue. :D

Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • You should carry a 50 male to 30 female adapter. Something like this.

A lot of guys use this even if 30 is available. The contacts in the 50 are less likely to be damaged due to high amperage uses.
  • I 'think' there were 50, 30 and 20 amp outlets on the pedestals the last time I was at that COE campground.

Very nice place to stay a while.

You should carry a 50-30Amp adapter so you can hook your power cord to a 50 Amp receptacle if necessary. Your rig will run just fine if hooked up that way.
