Emigrant Lake, OR

Honestly I've never been there, but heard its nice.I dont know how the water level is, we've had a pretty dry year again with hardly and snow and rain. I know Howard Praire Lake the boatdocks are still in the mud, and I believe that lake feeds Emigrant Lake. Good luck on your adventure and enjoy the state!

I don't know about Emigrant Lake, but we thoroughly enjoyed the Evergreen Air and Space Museum. There are also quite a few good wineries in the area...Carlton has several tasting rooms right on the Main Street.

We've stayed there for an overnight stay while traveling. It is a local recreation spot for boating during the summer. They have a water slide park for the kids. The county RV park is decent. Nice spaces up from the lake.

Emigrant Lake near Ashland,OR? I don't see any reason to stop there. Go to Crater Lake instead. Canyonville,OR has a really nice RV Park at the Seven Feathers Casino and Resort also lots of wineries around that place. I haul steel for a mill in McMinnville and I can tell you it is a neat town.

I was through there in the fall and the lake was empty. Just a little puddle at the bottom of a huge moonscape crater. I could be wrong, but I don't think there has been much rain in the area since. I would check into that before going.

Ashland has the Shakesphere Festival if that interests you. We stayed at Emigrant but it didn't appeal to us for more than a couple night stay. Of course, we didn't have a boat so that might have helped.

I live about 30 minutes from the lake and I don't think that it's but half full, not much to do unless you fish or do boating and I don't think that they have boat rentals. When are you coming to Oregon ? Like someone said go to Crater Lake NP. and Diamond Lake than on over to I-5 by the way of Hwy.138 that is a beautiful drive with several waterfalls and campgrounds. We didn't have very much snow so all lakes and rivers are low.

Went by the lake today and it is almost full.

Thanks for the update, I haven't been by the lake in a few months and remember that it was very low, will be going that way next week so will check it out.

Thanks for all the inputs! We have made reservations for a couple of nights at the lake for our trip there and back. We don't boat, fish, or gamble, we just like the solitude and scenery of the lakes and the mountains. We he the lake will have some water for our lab to swim in. Thanks again!
