Empire to Dearborn, MI campgrounds
We will be exiting our tour of the Michigan lakes region with a visit to Dearborn before heading east. We plan to see the Henry Ford and Greenfield Village Museums. Any recommendations on campgrounds...

We stayed at Detroit Greenfield in Ypsilanti when we went to the Henry Ford. Wasn't bad. For being right in the city, it felt like a campground out in the woods. The lake was nice and the sites were fairly large and level. It was easy to get to the musueum. I would stay there again when we go back.
The museum was fantastic. We spent 2 days and couldn't get to everything. Just an amazing collection. We also did the F-150 assembly plant tour. I could have sat there all day just watching them build trucks - over 1200 a day. Plant is shut down right now for the changeover to the 2015 design. Would be really interesting to see them getting restarted.
