Tony & Dianne,
I have been to both (actually all of those mentioned). I only camped at Camp Dearborn as part of a rally. The others are sooo close to home that my power cord would almost reach.
The Wayne County Fairground is not much, but it may suit.
Detroit Greenfild is an X-KOA that is quite nice. I have had occasion to visit other campers there.
Call before you plan on anything. Many parks in this area are closing for the winter already.
There is not much that is actually close to the Henry Ford Museum Complex. The main building is 18 acres under one roof and the historic village is 200+. Plan on a lot of walking, even if you don't do the village.
