Favorite COE park in your state

I was just looking at my Camping with COE book and noticed a park marked that we've never been too so I'm sure I marked it from a recommendation from someone on this forum. This got me to thinking..why not share our favorite COE parks in our home states?? Plese share your's and why it the favorite.

I'll start with Sanders Cove on Pat Mayse Lake. It has pine trees, sites are roomy, and has good fishing (we're told anyway as we're not fishermen). I know once we were there and there was a fishing tournament was going on...That's the only negative we've had about it...The roar of boat motors early in the morning wasn't too enjoyable, but it didn't last long.

  • Ortona South, Moore Haven, FL. Ortona South is a perfect campground for a quiet, sunny escape to inland South Florida. The campground is set along the Caloosahatchee River portion of the Okeechobee Waterway.
Campers will enjoy watching the boats and manatees pass through the Ortona Lock. Alligators, osprey and otters are also frequently spotted in this area.
Ortona South is in the Okeechobee Waterway, due west of Lake Okeechobee. Okeechobee means "big water" in the Muskogean Native American language.
  • Goose Point on Philpott Lake, North Bend on Kerr Reservoir, just because they are great campgrounds, and like all COE CG's, are on some nice bodies of water.
  • Buckhorn at Black Butte Reservoir outside of Orland CA.

A little sparse up there, yet really nice in the winter months.
No hookups, but it has a really easy in-out dump station plus it's only 8 dollars a day with our senior pass.
