The only combined length restrictions I've seen are for twisty, steep roads. Not for campgrounds. There have been a few boondock spots I've squeezed my 25' trailer into, and then had to unhook and park the truck next to the trailer, but I fit in the vast majority of campsites with no trouble.
That was part of my buying decision making --- I new I needed to stay at 25' or less to get into some of the dispersed sites I like. No way was I going longer.
