I'd also vote for Boston, however it will be crowded. For a smaller, but excellent show, mounted by the Grucci family (one of the best fireworks presenters in the country), check out Oswego, NY's Harborfest. July 23 - 26 with the fireworks on Saturday night. It is usually an impressive 20 - 25 minute show choreographed to music. Some photos from the 2013 festival.
