First Time to Florida as a snowbird

We live about 1 hour east of you and I have traveled I-81 to Florida many times. This is my route:
Day 1 I-81 to Carlisle PA, stay at Flying J (yes even in January)
Day 2 I-81 to Winchester Va exit 300, then route 66 to 17 to I-95 to Richmond bypass I-295 (left lane exit) then back to I-95 to Flying J in Kenly NC or Flying J in Dillon SC
Day 3 1-95 to Flying J in Brunswick Georgia or ST-Augustine FL

You may encounter bad weather around Watertown, or Syracuse but nothing to worry about.
