- LwiddisExplorer IIYes! Anyone knows! The source is the U.S. Department of the Interior’s National Park Service. Why ask us? Or you could contact your Congressman/woman.

- LwiddisExplorer IIJune 8th? Interesting!

https://www.nps.gov/yell/planyourvisit/fishingbridgecg.htm - delwhjrExplorerFishing bridge is closed until 2021. Below is an excerpt from my cancellation letter for my reservation this year. I received it this Wednesday the 3rd of June
"". Most Xanterra-operated campgrounds will begin a phased opening starting on June 15. However, we have had to postpone the scheduled renovations at the Fishing Bridge RV Park, and therefore will be unable to open it this summer. With renovation work now scheduled for completion in 2021, we anticipate opening the Fishing Bridge RV Park again next fall. If you still wish to visit Yellowstone this summer, can be flexible with your plans, and do not require hook-ups, we encourage you to consider rebooking into one of the other in-park campgrounds available after June 15.""
They said reservations can be made starting June 8 for next year - afidelExplorer IIWow, that's been going on for a few years now, hasn't it? I remember reading about the planned closure when we were planning our 2017 trip, it was one of the reasons I got pushy at work when they didn't want to give me the 3 weeks. I figured if I didn't do it that year my boys would be grown before I'd have another chance.
- dodge_guyExplorer III certainly hope that after 2 years it's all 100% paved and the sites are more user Friendly!
And maybe they added a small water park and a Tiki bar!!! Anything to make it a better experience. - ppineExplorer IIThe NPS is way behind in providing services for RVs. They are under funded and do not seem that interested in improving RV access, much less providing hookups.
All private concessions are on shaky ground in renewing their licenses with the NPS. A water park and a tiki bar would never be allowed in the world's first National Park. Neither would a lot of other things in the same category. If it is cheap tourist junk you want, you have to go elsewhere. - rr2254545ExplorerNote Fishing Bridge will not open until September 2021
Just made a reservation as I was able to book early because my reservation for this year was cancelled
