Fl. Keys

DW and I will be celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary in Sept. This is why I love her, she wants to go camping in the Keys. No Hawaii, cruise or some other expensive trip but camping. Pennekamp is the only state park with sites available, was wondering if anyone had any other suggestions for a 30ft TT. Yes, I know it's hurricane season, been living in Fl for 33 yrs so I know when hurricane season starts and ends. Thanks for the help.
  • Just heard back from Jolly Roger, they have waterfront sites available in Sept., so I'll be contacting them later today to make reservations. Thanks all for the replies. Later today finally arrived today ( Monday 5/9 ). Just called and made my reservation, now I just St need to keep my fingers crossed that we have no hurricanes during Sept. Thank you all for the replies and I'll take more if anyone has any and pictures too, if that's not asking too much.
  • We have also stayed and like Jolley Roger! Nice pier / fishing area, swimming / snorkling area, pool, shower facilities, etc.

Not a state park which we prefer, but a nice clean park!

They also except Good SAMs !

    Enjoy your trip !
  • We are at Jolly Roger in Marathon right now, leaving on Wednesday. Nice and quiet, about 40% full, good WIFI, cable TV, nice dock area. About an hour to Key West. When we come back to the Keys this will probably be the place. If you are a Passport America holder you can get in for five days at about $49 per night (five nights max), if not then all sites are "off season" at about $73.
  • We toured Big Pine Fishing Lodge and campground, MM33. Nice place. Key deer roam so no dogs allowed.
