If you don't want fancy, the nearest campground to Inverness is Thousand Palms Resort (wouldn't really call it that). It has its pros and cons. Rates are good for the winter in FL. I would call now for reservations. The address says Wildwood-Lake Panasoffkee. Friendly people. Also in Wildwood is Three Flags RV Resort. Again I would read the reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com Other parks to check into: Rock Crusher Canyon in Crystal River, Sandy Oaks in Beverly Hills, Williston Crossings in Williston, Belle Parc in Brooksville. You might get a couple of nights at Rainbow Springs State Park in Dunnellon during the week if you book early. I just checked and there are one or two spots left. I would checktoday if you know the dates. You can book on Reserve America. Have a great trip!
