Flordia

Have made this trip many times but looking something different.

Florence South Carolina to Naples Flordia

I-95
I-10
Rt 301
I-75 to Naples

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance
  • Enter your destination address in your Tom-Tom and then select "no interstates or avoid interstates". You'll have a marvelous drive! See parts of South Carolina and Florida you never knew existed ... if the alligators don't get you first! :)
  • Just make sure to put Florida in the GPS as the destination. It might have trouble finding Flordia :)
  • Depends on how fast you want to get there. US Hwy 41 will eventually lead you to the Naples area. It's the old pre-Interstate main route. We took it from New Jersey when I was a very young kid. The road past Naples where it cuts across to Miami was infamous for people falling asleep and vering into the deep canal that parallels the highway, still does for that matter. But the highway dept has put up lots of barricades since then.

Hwy 41 crosses I-10 just before you get to I-75
  • I've used that route many times crossing over from 301 to I75 at Citra, FL. It was the fastest route to N. Naples. I now go to the far east side of Naples (east of Collier Seminole SP) and find the best (shortest/fastest) route to be I95 to I 4, I 4 to Rt 27, Rt 27 to Rt 29 and south to US 41, then west. Good roads either way.
  • If you come across I-4, I'd go around Lakeland and take 98 to 17 down to I-75.
