I have an old stovetop peculator, works great! I would guess you could pick one up at any camping section in a big box store. I have a large 12cup and a small 8 cup. The 8 cup works much better for some reason.

There are other ways to do it, Mr Coffee makes a basket that you dump boiling water into, cant remember what its called, I have one in the trailer somewhere. But, I always use the perk, I set it up the night before, and just put the heat to it when I get up. When its done I pour the coffee in a large thermos, keeps it hot, and goes in the truck with me.

A small one burner Coleman stove and one propane cylinder, we use this just in case of power failure of any kind, also we use two one pound metal coffee cans with a large candle and matches, with a good flashlite and extra batterys, if its cold you can warm your hands,it will give you good feeling until daybreak, always hopefully you will not have to use them, just our two cents worth, Wolf3gang.

Gas range, old time coffee pot on the burner.

start the gen make coffee. I have overnighted at rest areas all over the us. I have never been told to leave. Don't set up camp just spend the night and move on.

I have overnighted at the Welcome center on 95, and other FL rest stops with no problem. I don't want to camp, I just want to sleep, make coffee and move on.

I get on the road, and make breakfast at a rest stop an hour or so up the road. Kind of breaks things up.

Vienna, GA overnight,it's not far from the Florida sate line.

I have drove by the Florida welcome center before day light and looks like a large Campground so many there so hard to believe they are all there for a few hours

We have stayed in the Florida welcome center several times when schedules dictated. Regardless of the previous time limit mentioned we have never been asked to move on. I can certainly say that the truckers often stay well more than three hours and I've never seen anyone chasing them out either.
