- NORM_WADDELLExplorerThere are NO campgrounds ON the gulf BEACH.
Condos have taken all that space. There ARE
good campgrounds on the SOUND (protected by
off shore islands, so no surf).
Start by considering Gulf Shores AL.
Luxury R V is 2 blocks inland
Fort Pickens at Pensacola is between 2
beaches (inland and GULF) but it's a short
walk to each.
Navarre Florida has 3 on the (Sound) Beach
which are good campgrounds.
Do NOT expect ANY shade at gulf beach campgrounds.
P M me for more. - sdianel_-acct_cExplorerEmerald Beach RV park in Navarre is not "oceanfront" but does have a beach and pool. http://www.emeraldbeachrvpark.com/index.htm
Anotherone Pensacola Beach Resort, not on the Gulf, but has a walkway across the road to the gulf beach. http://www.pensacolabeachrvresort.com/our-resort.html
Topsail Hill Resort State Park has tram to beach. - Poppa_ClayExplorerHeading to Camp Gulf onthe 13th for a week. Have never been there but from what I have heard it is very nice. Our site is right on the beach.
- mleekampExplorerWe stayed this year at Ft. Pickens (south of Pensacola) on Santa Rosa Island. Was not beachfront exactly, but we walked to the beach every day....several hundred feet.
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerNot many beachfront options in the panhandle or the entire state of Florida for that matter. There are lots of state parks in the panhandle that are nice and some with full hookups, but there is a drive, walk or bike ride to the beach. Camp Gulf is the only one that comes to mind that is actually beachfront.
- Brandon327ExplorerDepends in what you call ocean front. Me personally I like the beachfront site at campgulf in destin. But they are expensive and narrow is the only draw back.
