The local newspapers in Bar Harbor said the Chamber of Commerce would be having a big push to encourage tourists. Many businesses were hurt when the park and the loop road opened late this year due to the budget. Now they expect to be hurting again.
The Island Explorer free busses are still running, except through the park and there are many nice "leaf peeping" spots ouside the park.
My wife and I are still planning to go back to Bar Harbor next week because we had such a good time there last Fall.
