Heading out in August to see the country and watch the meteor showers. Where do you like to stay in that area? Planning on visiting Marfa and Alpine also.

Also they leave the road up to the two overlook areas open all night during the meator shower time frame. All other times of the year they close the road at 10:00 P.M.
These areas are great for viewing the meator showers.
Sometimes there are people with telescopes up there and they sometimes will let you look thru them.
