Fort Myers area

Question

Last year we stayed at Up river RV park from Jan. 1st to 2-15. This year we wanted to do the same but they don't have space. Anyone know of a campground in the area that might have an opening for just six weeks?

We go to Daytona in mid February for the race and bike week so we are short timers compared to other campers in Fort Myers.

There is a KOA at the southern end of Pine Island and another campground around the middle of the island. The KOA is overpriced but they have a pool and lots of good eating on the island.

You might try Seminole CG right off of I75 and right down the road from Upriver. Also, Wodsmoke CG on 41 in the San Carlos Park area.

Cypress Trail Beautiful place but pricey. They may have a space open.

Use rvparkreviews.com for Ft. Myers, FL.  I stayed at Woodsmoke in FM, and it was ok.  Parts of it were "old FL" and some new, pull-thru's.  They put out an email on a very strict dog policy, might want to check their pet policy if you are considering that park.
