Fort Pickens Pensacola CLOSED

Question

Fort Pickekns national campground south of Pensacola
is CLOSED due to a storm blowing sand over the entrance road.
This closure is expected to last several days. No campers are allowed
to enter, but those already camping there are allowed to stay.

They opened one lane today so people could leave or go for supplies. The storm was pretty bad. It was shaking our 5'er pretty good even with 6 stabilizers on the ground. There was 1-2' of sand on the road in places.

Even though we've driven out there many times the women-folk won't let me camp us there.  They're afraid water will get over the road and they'll be trapped for the rest of their lives.
