Don't know that area but some of the state parks in LA are really nice - and have FHU ... and are reasonable price.
On Edit: South Toledo Bend State Park - north of Ft Polk a half hour or so ...
IF you are military, there's a military campground near the state park = don't bother, it's one of the worst MCG we're ever stayed in. State Park is 1000% better.
