What are some forts you have visited that were interesting or worth seeing again. Any type of fort. There are two that I know of in Michigan. I'd recommend both. Fort Mackinac on Mackinac Island ...

Fort McHenry in Baltimore - Inspiration for the Star-Spangled Banner and Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas. Fort Jefferson does require a rather pricey ferry trip however. You can catch that out of Key West.
