Franklin TN

Any recommendations for a park near Franklin TN that will handle a 35' trailer. Prefer full hookups but I can get by with electric only. I will be there the first week of May and will need to travel to Franklin for a meeting every day.
  • Hi.. plan to get reservations a couple of months ahead of your planned arrival if you are staying in nashville. Nashville is a very busy place. Jim2007
  • There are 3 COE campgrounds, that are not exactly close, but a reasonable distance. I don't know about their size limits. You can check:

    Seven Points
    Anderson Road
    Poole Knobs

    They are all nice.

Real estate around/near Franklin is too pricey for such mundane uses as a RV park.
  • We stayed at Montgomery Bell State Park and drove over to Franklin. Not bad, scenic drive.

Up in Nashville, there are 3 campgrounds in the Music Valley Drive area...a KOA, a Jellystone, and one called Two Rivers, which will be the least expensive of them. South of Franklin, heading down 65 toward the AL border, is a campground called the Texas T. It's a pretty good spot right off the interstate. If a state park is more your speed, there are two that are 45-60 minutes from Franklin. Montgomery Bell SP has full hookup sites, and is near Dickson, west of Franklin. Henry Horton SP does not have sewer sites, but is a nice park south/southeast of Franklin.

    Good luck.

Thanks Dave, That's pretty much what I was finding but had hoped for a hidden gem a little closer. I can stay at the convention hotel but really want to take the family and camp. I'll look at these and see if I want to make the daily drive each way.

Ouch! Unless you need AC I’d prepare for camping without any hooks in that area. If needed, prepare to camp a distance away.
