BLM land on the Sacramento River between Red Bluff and Redding. Take the Jellys Ferry road to the small community of Bend. Boondocking available at the end of the road at Perrys Riffle. Hiking trails and 4wd roads in the area if you want to hang out a couple days.
Forest Service Sycamore Grove CG in the city of Red Bluff, right off the interstate. On the river, end of Sale Lane. Antelope Blvd exit, sign says to Lassen Park. Turn right at the McDonalds, drive to end of the road. Some electric/water sites, no sewer. Hardly anybody uses it this time of year. It was just us and the hosts last week. Close to restaurants and grocery stores, Walmart in town, ~3 miles. Paved trails for walking/bikes.
