Thanks to all for your responses! I think we will just spend an overnight stop in casper as we head up toward devils tower.
here are some campgrounds that looked interesting to me...do you have a favorite cg that i missed? any thoughts would be appreciated. we don't have any reservations yet.
also, i think custer st park cg's close 9/30...is that correct?
custer (if sp is closed)...allen ranch or custer gulch?
deadwood (just as a base of operations)....steel wheel
and, ONE MORE QUESTION:::: should we stop at buffalo? anything to see and do there?
