Ft Stevens State Park, OR

Has anyone ever camped at this state park, Ft. Stevens? Because I'm the Garmin in our vehicle, wondering if someone can explain to me how to get to the campgrounds once inside the park. I know there is quite a few loops, my question is, are they off the Peter Iredale Rd.?Any info would be helpful. Thanks.

  • It's also right across the river from a lot to do on the Washington side. The Long Beach Peninsula, Cape Disappointment, oyster farms, etc.
  • I love this state park, lots of bike trails and easy access to the beach. It is also close to Astoria, which you also have to go into. You will also have to go to Seaside it's a real nice tourist town. Like someone said go to Oregon state parks web site and get directions off there.
  • We just left after a week in site 177. We camp here at least 4 weeks a year if not more. Probably have spent around 300 nights at this park over the years...going back to the tent camping days.

If you think you are lost now, wait until you take off on a bike ride into the parks MANY tails....:)

Enjoy your stay. We really like Ft. Stevens.
Tons of stuff to do and see in the area as well.
  • Been there 3 times recently, yes that is the right road, the turn in is right across from the KOA, office is about a half mile in
  • Go to Oregon State Parks web site and you will find a may. It is the largest State Park in Oregon I think. Great Park.
