Gaffney, South Carolina

For the two days you are in class, it pretty much fills the days. At the end of the first day, they have a dinner after class so you won't be doing any sight seeing that day. Our second day ended pretty late too. I go to Gaffney for my annual service and really haven't found much in the immediate area to do that interests me. Hopefully someone will pipe in with ideas..... of course there is teh freightliner factory tour to take up a bit of time.

Cow Pens National Park is interesting, Rangers there are very helpful.

Outlet mall right at exit. Just to walk around and look.

And of course, you can always take some travel photos of the nearby big giant butt. (The water tower that is supposed to look like a peach).

Depending on when you take it, you can catch some dirt track racing at Cherokee Speedway on Saturday nights. The season starts back in February.

Another vote for Cow Pens National Battlefield. Very interesting site.
