Garden of the Gods (Illinois)

The only other campground with electric that I can think of is Ferne Cliffe SP it is central right where the interstates split.Giant City SP is to the west. There May be private campgrounds but we don't usually look for those. Please post a trip report.

Here is a great pdf map that shows lots of attractions in the Shawnee National Forest. Use your zoom feature to zoom in on info for the area you are interested in.

I've looked at Cave in the Rock SP.. just seeing what else is available before we book it.

We liked the Pharoah Campground at Garden of the Gods. Big Pine trees. No hookups. Vault toilets and no shower. Water supply is a crank to pump in to a jug.Go prepared.No store nearby. Some sites are tight between pines. Only 12 sites. No reservations. I think the nearest camp with at least electric is the campground at Cave in Rock SP.
