- 4huskersExplorerNot much to worry about. Expect slow going as you'll likely run into critter jams anywhere in Yellowstone, especially in the Lamar Valley.
- TexasShadowExplorer IIthe road stays open all year, so it's pretty well kept, but it's a park road with tourist traffic and some of the wildlife. After Cooke City, going east, you will find some very steep grades.
- Ray___JuneExplorerGardiner to Cooke City is one of the roads we have driven dozens of times. We drive a 21 foot class "C" with a toad. Plan on slow driving on the uphill sections, and slow speed on the downhill sections. Did I mention there is more uphill and downhill than level?
Slow down, enjoy the drive, and watch some beautiful scenery. You shouldn't have any problems, except animal jams and, oh yeah, some up and down hill sections!
