Gas way down

So the wholesale price of gas has again dropped dramatically.
How is this affecting your snowbird plans this winter?
We should be seeing nationwide (USA) about $2.00 per gallon.
Some will be affected nicely some badly.
Thoughts?

By the way I follow the wholesale gas prices this is not from news reports
  • The price of fuel will not effect our Winter Plans. BUT, El Nino will. We will wait to see what the Oct weather is like in The SouthWest and forecasted weather for Nov and then decide how far & where we will go without regard to fuel cost.

Agree...but the FORCASTED El NiƱo will not alter our Winter plans and will be in Casa Grande in November thru April.
  • Arrived in Myrtle Beach yesterday. Gas at $2.02
  • They always find a reason to raise the price back up. Refinery down etc.
  • Was glad on our family trip this weekend to NY to see that gas prices 15 minutes away in NJ was 1.99 cash price. Filled up the bulky van rental for under $30.
  • The problem is, the oil and gas industry are the strongest entity in the US and probably the world. They charge what they do because they can. Our government can't anything about it. A couple of years ago they had hearings on Capitol hill and basically told the the oil industry they needed to control their pricing. The industry told the government they could always move to another country. That ended the hearings!
