gettysburg battlefield resort

Looking to go to Gettysburg just wanting to find anything about the Gettysburg resort rv park, thing like how far is it from the battle field and if they have pull thru site and if they except 30 ft motorhome just some of the basic feature.
  • Most of these CG are quite expensive. Anyone know of something off the beaten path for around $40 in September?

  • Your not going to find anything in the area I don't think for that rate, Gettysburg is about the best however there is a KOA near the Gettysburg C G. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!
  • Artillery Ridge is a Passport America participant and that can save you money. We ride bicycles right to the battlefield from there.
  • We stayed there on our first visit to Gettysburg. It is convenient to town and to the battlefield visitor center, but we will stay elsewhere. It is nice enough, but the spots are not very level and the road was pretty rough when we were there. We visited in November and there was not a lot going on.
  • You are probably not going to find $40 unless you are Coast-to-Coast or Passport.

Just another option. We stayed at the KOA which is just a few miles from the park. Very friendly, clean.

X2 This was one of our yearly stops when we lived in the area. The KOA in Gettysburg is very clean and they used to have a pretty spectacular pancake breakfast on the weekends (I'm sure they still do).

Sept. Is still prime camping in Gettysburg $40.00 won't get it done.
Gettysburg is not off the beaten path it is the beaten bath.
Touristy destination areas are never the most economical places to camp.
