My suggestions: On 84 when you cross from NY to Conn. there is a large rest stop where you could stop and catch some ZZZ's. After Waterbury, Conn. take 691 over to 91 and get back on 84 at E. Hartford. This will eliminate a lot of heavy traffic and twisty roads around Hartford. At the line of Conn. and Mass. there is Sturbridge, Mass. and I believe there is camping in that area. There is state Park camping in northern Conn off of 84. When you get on the Mass. Pike (90) stop at the first service area and fill up, there are no easy big rig on and off fuel stops on 290 or 495 unless its changed in the last two years. Go to camping-usa.com and look up camping sites.
Still no easy-on fuel on those routes. If you're on the road soon there's construction in I-495 that may slow you down just before the Rt. 3 Exit. Friday we went through it slowly but without stopping, though...
