gettysburg restaruants

Been to Gettysburg many times and are returning in 2 weeks. DH and I love local bars/pubs with cold beer, good food and fair prices. Any suggestions in the G-burg area? Not really into tourist stops, like comfortable, welcoming places to get a good burger and a beer. Thanks.

  • For breakfast try the Lincoln Diner. Good down home breakfast and at very reasonable prices.
  • We ate at the Dobbin House last May and were very disappointed. It was a tough night with bad storms and a power failure but the quality of their food wasn't what it used to be. The Lincoln Diner has great breakfasts and pies. It's off the circle near the Gettysburg Hotel.
  • Cashtown Inn outside town a little ways used to be very good. Haven't been there in a while. Very historic atmosphere.

Last month and in prior years we've stopped at the Blue and Grey Bar and the Pub restaurant. Both are at Lincoln Square
