Glacier 2020 vanished

Glacier park has had a display up for several years saying that all the Glaciers in the park would be gone by 2020: Glacier Park

Quite mysterious I guess they can add it to this list

  • agesilaus,

My brother just went to Antarctica. At 68 degrees south the water temperature was only -1 c (30 f). They encountered no sea ice at all. No computer model needed to suggest this is unusual, troubling and potentially serious.

Don't be the frog in the pot of water that is being slowly warmed up.

You might try carrying your thought to the logical end. We only have good weather data back to the late 1800's for temperature and to the 1970's for hurricanes and other extreme weather like tornadoes. But that doesn't stop your coreligionists from making wild predictions about those. And how far back does the ice extent data from the poles go, not very far. Essentially a lot of this data starts with the weather satellite era---1970's.

And these predictions are based on computer models not real data and the models predictive powers is awful. Your people also refuse to release the data that they claim to use for these models and they refuse to debate scientists with opposing views. If their proof is so strong why not show the world what it is based on, and why not demolish the opposition with your strong and brilliant arguments? Makes the rationalists wonder you know, when you pull stuff like this. Like you are hiding the truth.

  • Life is not linear. Too often predictions about life are very linear. So then an update is needed. Big whoop.
  • No he's just laughing at the religious fanatics, just like the ones who predict the end of the world on this date and the next day everyone is still here and doing what they always do. That's Climanistas, we wouldn't care except their fanaticism is costing the rest of us a fortune.
  • He seems to try to make it out to be some kind of scandal and he is making sure everyone is aware of secret activity going on behind the scenes. Needs to get a life.
  • Don't get too excited about it. The world is going to end in 12 years.
    (Maybe it's about 11 now) :)
  • ‘It’s the end of the world!” Town drunk, Bar/diner scene, “The Birds!” Alfred Hitchcock 1963 staring RodTaylor and Tippi Hedren.. PS Bodega Bay is still there. Great place to visit.
