Yes, it's the Reynold's Creek fire (link). It is expected to burn until the snow falls or they get a lot of rain, but they expect to be able to open the road this year. Some of the fire areas are just too steep to manage.
If the fire is still burning, you will be downwind if you are on the east side of the park. The smoke isn't too bad but it is hanging in the valley by Saint Mary.
Our favorite spot to camp down there is Lake Five Resort on the west side. There are a lot of seasonal folks who will have cleared out by then. It's a beautiful spot by a lake just a few miles west of the park.
