I certainly agree. ;)
I have been there 3 times and have always enjoyed staying at Two Medicine CG right on Pray Lake. The fishing is good in the Lake and surrounding areas and you don't need a fishing license. There is a nice hike right out side the park, up to high meadows with wild flowers(like the Sound of music) and with your towed you can hike Iceburg Lake another nice hike, just make a lot of noise hiking as others have said there are some grizzly bears in the area.
Skip the commercial campgrounds and enjoy camping in the magnificent park. - TyroneandGladysExplorer

Dito and the Red Bus Tour picks up at east KOA and in addition if you are traveling with a dog they have a onsite dog walking service. - padredwNomad
We liked Glacier Meadow RV Park in Essex MT, 16 miles west of East Glacier entrance and easy drive to West Glacier entrance
We stayed here for one night and found it to be a really nice place. However, we went on (our plan all along) to Hungry Horse near West Glacier and stayed several days in Mountain Meadows RV Park. It was ideal and we certainly hope to go back there someday. - LaurenExplorerKOA on east side - North American on west side (KOA on west side is very nice but you pay for it!)
- sdianel_-acct_cExplorerWe liked Glacier Meadow RV Park in Essex MT, 16 miles west of East Glacier entrance and easy drive to West Glacier entrance. Reasonable rate. Long level pull thrus easy to get satellite signal. Water and electric only but pump out service 2x a week included in nightly rate. Only downside is weak cell service. I used a Wilson Sleek to boost the signal and could make a call. No wi-fi either. They do have a booster in a pavillion you can use if you want to walk there. We just drove a few miles and used our cell phone. No biggie for us. I would make reservations as they were booked solid when we were there. Also don't miss Izaak Walton Inn in Essex. Very interesting.

- KavoomExplorerAnd your bear spray if you are hiking... I am not joking.
- Dick_BExplorerYes. Search this Forum for `Glacier'. Take your hiking boots.

bumpy - rv2goExplorer IISince it looks like you will be coming from the East, I would consider staying at the St. Mary's KOA.(I have not stayed there as I stay inside the Park)
I have visited Glacier several times and think that there is more to see and do on the east side. If you have your passports, a day trip to Canadian side of the Park is a easy day trip.
If you chose not to drive the "Going to the Sun" road, it's convenient to catch the shuttle at the St. Mary's Visitor Center. Take it to Logan Pass, then catch a shuttle to the west side.
