- livelylittlecamExplorerLuray KOA was excellent. We stayed for two nights over the summer and hope to return soon. My wife wrote a review on our family camping blog with some photos--check it out below:

Best--Jeremy - John_S_Explorer III would stay at andy guest state park and the KOA in Luray is a great campground. The old Front royal campground is an old KOA with unlevel sites.

If it's on your way you may want to try the Shenandoah Valley Campground at Verona. It is very nice, with friendly people and lots of rabbits --- they like carrots so bring plenty.
+ on this campground depending on what your plans are. Small waterfall, nice pool and hot tubs. Also can tube down the river that runs next 2 it. - Doc_FosterExplorerNot too far from Luray is Andy Guest Shenandoah River State Park.
I camped here on 2 seperate weekends this past spring, used it as a "basecamp" for hiking in Shenandoah National Park. Very nice facility and relatively new. I will definitely go back there again.

About 10 miles north on rt340 is a great state Park, Andy Guest - Shenandoah River. They have 32 Water/electric RV sites. No sewer hook-up but there is a dump station. Cheaper then KOA - about $32.00 per day/night.
If you won't to stay in the Shenandoah Valley I would recommend Endless Caverns or the KOA at Broadway.
Have a great trip,

If you have a dog, there is a huge and very clean offleash enclosure. The campground is close to the Skyline Drive, so you can enjoy that amazingly beautiful area with ease. We've stayed at this KOA 3 times already this year, and plan to go back again soon.
- klmExplorerLuray KOA. well maintained, excellent views, have stayed there several times over the years, but all stays prior to KOA tag added. The owners take great pride in their cg, hope it is still the same. A little pricey, but will use it again whenever back in the area.
- The Luray KOA is nice... You might also try the Endless Caverns Campground... Stayed there and that was nice also ,with its own caverns.....Joe
