Good campgrounds near Ashville ,nc

Another plus for Mama Gerties. You're on the mountainside for real. It's also really cool in there.

in addition to the great atmosphere, campfire lodgings has a great location for access to groceries, restaurants + easy road connections to get anywhere in asheville.

We just left Mama Gerties and it is beautiful! Sites are on the side of a mountain, terraced with beautiful trees and landscaping. Sites are level. Only downside is that the rest rooms are at the bottom of the mountain. Didn't bother us because we used our own. Some back in sites are on a small creek.
Of the 2 KOA's, east seems better. We stayed in the west one and it was "ok" Read the reviews on www.rvparkreviews.com

Bear Creek was where we stayed and thoroughly enjoyed it. Very clean restrooms/showers and nice people. Gorgeous view from the mountains.

We always use Wilsons Riverfront RV park
It is right on the French Broad River across from the Biltmore Estate and has full hookups.
Each site has a concrete pad
