Google Maps Street View in campground (Jekyll Island)

We leave for Jekyll Island tomorrow morning and even though we've been there in the past I was still curious as to what our sites were like. I pulled up google maps and when I clicked on the icon for Street View, they had driven through the campground! This is great! I hope they have done this with other campgrounds. Anyway, this may have been out for a while and I'm just now seeing it, but, I wanted to let others know that may have not seen this.

I hope your visit is better than mine. We went there last year and it looked like a homeless camp in the woods. So dark in there I drove in and directly out.
I like light and well kept camp grounds.
    Cheers
I also toured this CG and agree with this assessment. It is a parking lot in the woods. If you are not having a good time, check out Crooked River State park. And by all means, check out Cumberland Island.
  • there are a few campgrounds around here that ive used google street view to decide when reserving a site online. the pictures on reservation.gov has never done justice to what the sites actually look like
  • Michigan has this for their state campgrounds. Can look at site when reserving.

  • Probable more with internet connection that processor power, but maps and street view take a LOT of data and speed.
  • Chula Vista RV Resort near San Diego was toured by street view or the Bing maps cars. I actually got a screen shot of our RV parked in the spot a few years ago when the car went by. Some friends were there as well and you can see one of them sitting reading a book as the car went by.
  • I have found it on a very few, but is nice when you do.
  • Yes this is nice, but this feature does not work on all devices. I have a tablet an a smart phone where it doesn't work, but does on my laptop running Windows 10.

I think it may have something to do with processor power
  • I don't remember which but, I have checked a few campgrounds that had street view available.

It would be nice it they all had this feature, it's very useful.
