Got tote?

I am camped in a boondock area with central water/dump.

I am amazed at the number of people who, rather than use a blue boy, drag their rigs to the dump station. Right now I'm watching a fella try to back his 5er into a tight spot and drive up on his leveling blocks. It would take me a couple hours to do this, what with pulling in the slides, disconnecting stuff and hitching up. Perhaps these folks have a bad back or something, but wow.. what a lot of work just to get water or dump. I'll bet they conserve water like crazy, as I can't imagine this is something they want to do any more than necessary.

If you do this, please tell me why.

  • I had a blue tote and discovered to my dismay that the entrance to the blue tote was higher than the exit to the camper - bought a mercerator pump and dealt with that for awhile. Finally got rid of all of it and and now just stay 3-4 days if dry camping. Those things are a pain to deal with. My grandson helped my with it once. Notice I said once.
  • macerator+blue boy+hose=all tanks dumped and equipment stored in one hour or less!
  • If you have a small honey wagon (blue boy) and a BIG holding tank (or two) one trip to the dump might be easier than multiple trips dragging a wagon.
