Government Shutdown

I just heard that this will affect National Parks, among a lot of other things. My brother and SIL just left yesterday for a week at the Grand Canyon.
  • The house approved a bill early this morning, for funding through December 15.

Chech this mornings news, things have changed.

I don't know what you are reading but CNN, Huffington and MSN are predicting a shutdown.

We are getting ready to head out on our fall trip which would include a stop at Bryce since we haven't been there is about 10 years. Now, thinking about alternatives.

We have many friends who depend on tourism in Estes Park. After the flood they are really hurting. Now, Rocky Mountain National Park will possibly close. If this shutdown is protracted it will possibly bankrupt some of our friends.

I don't want to turn this into a political discussion of right versus left. There is plenty of blame to go around. All of those rich fat cat idiots in Washington should be run out of office. They don't care about the American people. They only care about being elected to another term and lining there pockets with our money. Grrrrrrrrrrrr!

    We deserve better.
  • I think they should keep up with the news a little closer :)
Most of us have probably known this for a week or so.
Hope it works out for them....and all of us.
