Grand Canyon?
I've never been. Apparently it costs $25 to just "have a look". Worth it? Anything else to do once past the main gate? South side.

When the National Parks were created the Government prided itself on creating something entirely funded through tax revenues as part of its public service. $25 for a 'free' public service is steep to some. Its not what the park services bylaws as originally written intended. Perhaps this is what some disagree with. Its more of a principal thing.
Noted. Just like when the Social Security Act was first passed, we were supposed to get ALL of our money back upon retirement. I only wish that SS was nearly as good a deal for me as spending $25 for a week at Grand Canyon. Problem is, FICA is not optional for most of us.
