Need suggestions for a big rig friendly campground near the Great Salt Lake and Salt Lake City. Also, anything nearby that we should not miss?

No the OP but we are heading through SLC on our way west to Oregon and Washington. Is the SLC KOA a busy campground that I should make prior reservations for or can you usually get a site if you call in the morning. We are traveling cross country and our timeframe is fluid as I never know for sure how far we will get each day. We usually travel without reservations.
