I will join MarkieMark and say that we LOVE Pine Mountain which has FHU, plus an indoor pool and hot tub. Those can be great in the fall when the temps get cooler. You can avoid most of the traffic going in to Pine Mtn. (If you decide on this, PM me for directions).
Elkmont and Smokemont are also wonderful, but we have decided that we like some hookups.
If you are just wanting to see the colors and not the traffic or other hubub, check out Natural Tunnel SP in Virginia. Some beautiful scenery, 17 miles from the TN border, within easy driving of lots of nice mountains for viewing of the leafing season.
