Green light

After months of blood tests, ultrasound scans and hospital visits and with just 6 days to spare, I have been given the go ahead to head for the sun for a few months.
Snow birding from the UK always includes a ferry, and the one we choose is 24 hrs and must be booked in advance. So next Tuesday at 11am we will be happily boarding the Pont Aven Portsmouth to Santander Spain.
Happy :) :) :)
  • Enjoy your time in the sun!

Just curious..... how long is the ferry ride?
  • I know how you feel. Just went threw the same thing with DW. Just got the go ahead yesterday.
I spent some time many years ago at a tyre plant installing machines in Santander Spain. What a beautiful area to visit.

  • I was there recently and could not believe how expensive it is compared to when I was there last. Are you covered for medical under the EC? Or do you have get it separate.

We benefit from reciprocal arrangements as far as health care is concerned within the EU. However it only usually applies to emergency treatment, on going treatment or re- patriation needs separate medical insurance.
Costs vary across the EU eg. Diesel most expensive UK. Cheapest Luxemburg., but recon on about $9 a US gallon.
