I think monthly rates for snowbirds continues at least through the end of March, but they have several sites that are not available for monthly rental and they are usually not hard for walk-ins to get. Also some snowbirds leave early. The only exception in March would be during school spring brakes for AL, MS, GA or LA.
I would call for a reservation. Even if you can't get into the state park there are plenty of pretty nice campgrounds in the area.
