Gulf states and hurricanes?

We are planning our trip next year for AL, MS LA and TX. This would be for June/July along the coast. I do believe those months are during the hurricane season. Has anyone had any issues going during that time? I know I can always watch the weather and plan accordingly. Just wondering if I am thinking too much into it or not.

    Thinking too much. If we all based our trips on what MIGHT happen we'd never go anywhere. Just went to AK knowing there were wildfire issues. Just have a Plan B and remember even if you get there and there are no issues they can crop up at any time.
