We stayed there in May for about 4 nights. We were there on the weekend, and it was full. The campground had many activities for children. We didn't have kids with us, we were just there to see the sights. But it seemed like everyone was having a good time. It cleared out by Sunday afternoon. It was a clean park, we actually saw workers picking up around the empty sites.
It was a very short drive to Harpers Ferry National park. We used our Golden pass to get in. We also drove to Antietam, that was about a 40 minute drive, if I remember correctly.
The parking lot near the office was quite big. It was very easy to park our mh & toad and check in, then unhook before we drove to our site.
